FAREWELL FAIR WEATHER AT FETE DE LA MUSIQUE 2015

I first saw Farewell Fair Weather at Jack Daniel's Philippine Indie Awards last April 17, 2015 at Whitespace, Makati. I was really clueless on what type or genre of music they're into but they got my ears attention when they started playing.  I was already rooting for them to win the "Jack Daniel's - The Chosen One for 2015" after their performance. I am glad they did, because I will be guilty that I voted for a different band (because of popularity).Farewell Fair Weather's sound is really tight, as they're like playing together since birth.

BABIES IN BLACK 2: A BEATLES TRIBUTE

Last April 25, 2014 was a night full of Beatles' tune in Babies in Black 2: A Beatles Tribute at the Amber Ultra Lounge. Clementine & The Eggmen, Kate Torralba and Ely Buendia performed their own rendition of Fab Four's song.

PERYODIKO AT 19 EAST

I wanted to watch the production of Peryodiko (with Malay, Yosha and Barbie Almalbis) at 19 East for a long time but due to my day job and accessibility to the venue, it never happens. A gig at 19 East that I don’t want to miss finally came, Pedicab + Peso Movement + Peryodiko last October 9. Well, I still haven’t recovered from that Peso Movement + Peryodiko gig last month in 70’s Bistro.

After the gig, I said Hello to Japs, vocalist and guitarist of Peso Movement. He replied “Pare! Nangyari na itong 19 East gig na pinag-uusapan natin.” I remember chatting with him regarding gig venues with good sound and lighting system. We unanimously agreed on 1 venue, 19 East. I’ve only been here once and was blown away, the owner/s really invested on equipment. The only setback is that the place is hard to reach for commuters like me. I don’t have a car and I live in Manila. Good thing that my 2 good friends also want to watch that night. It will be a mortal sin for music lovers like us to miss that gig; Pedicab + Peso Movement + Peryodiko at 19 East for a door charge of only Php 150.

DEFTONES DIAMOND EYES TOUR MANILA 2011

 

Deftones, one of my favorite bands off all time will rock again Manila on May 26, 2013 at the World Trade Center. The show is part of their Koi No Yokan Album Tour 2013. Koi No Yokan, named after Japanese Proverbs "Promise of Love" is the band's seventh studio album that was released November 2013.

I am really excited to watch them again live. But for now, I need to save money for the VIP ticket. I actually skipped watching Bloc Party concert last March 22 for additional funds.

SUNDAY SURREAL: DAYDREAM CYCLE REUNION GIG

I am excited to get my pre-order vinyl of Ang Nawawala OST but I am more excited to see Daydream Cycle perform again (just for 1 night) at the launch of the vinyl at Heima Three Brixton.

I've been a follower of the band since the Sanctum, Mayrics and 6Underground days. I was hooked by their music though I can't label their genre, dreamy pop or trip-hop sound if I may describe.

RED HORSE BEER MUZIKLABAN GRAND FINALS 2012

After a year of not shooting gigs and concerts, I found myself again in the middle of the photo pit. I really wanted to shoot the Red Horse Beer Muziklaban Grand Finals 2012 because I was part of the official team last year, my favorite bands will be there to perform and I really miss shooting gigs and concerts.

I already gave up on the idea of covering the event because of my hiatus. I was really shy to request for a photo pass until I read a post on our Facebook group. Red Horse Beer Official Rock Journalist, Ms. Niña Sandejas was looking for small team to video Wilabaliw's performance. The team was composed of my girlfriend, Rocel and batchmate / last year's Muziklaban teammate, Cyril and Karla. Jep was also there reinforced the team.

Last July 22, Pupil launched its latest music video 20/20 at the top shelf of Fully Booked Bonifacio High Street.

Toi - Emergency Mini-Concert
